Subaru Loves Pets
Thanks for Taking Our Quiz!
Since 2008, our partnership with Subaru of America, Inc. has had a significant impact on the rescue, transport, well-being and adoption of nearly 250,000 animals across the country.
The ASPCA is also the national partner for the Subaru Loves Pets®, happening now! Read on to learn more about how, together, the ASPCA and Subaru are working to make the world a better place for animals.
The ASPCA & Subaru Loves Pets Grant Program
The ASPCA is the national partner for the Subaru Loves Pets® program, through which Subaru and its retailers are committed to improving the lives of as many shelter animals as possible.
Subaru celebrates Subaru Loves Pets every October, when over 630 Subaru retailers partner with local animal shelters, providing direct financial assistance to aid in shelter support and pet adoptions.
This October, Subaru retailers will provide direct funding to their local animal welfare partners through grants administered by the ASPCA to help cover costs for preparing animals for adoption, veterinary expenses and more. Many Subaru retailers will also host adoption, microchipping or other types of events in their stores to help ensure more pets can find loving homes in their communities.
National Make A Dog’s Day
Subaru is especially passionate about supporting some of the most vulnerable shelter animals — older and disabled dogs, which they lovingly call the 'Underdogs.' These dogs are often overlooked and stay longer in shelters as they wait to find a loving home.
We are excited to celebrate the 7th annual National Make A Dog’s Day on October 22. This day was created by Subaru to encourage all dog lovers across the country to do something special for their pets. This year, Subaru and the ASPCA encourage people everywhere to consider adopting, fostering or supporting an Underdog as a life-changing way to #MakeADogsDay.
