Meet Blaze — he’s lighting up life, one squeak at a time! He is a smaller Husky with a big personality and an even bigger dream of joining the fire department. If a siren goes by, he will throw his head back and howl right along as if he is letting the world know he is ready for action. He brings that same joyful spirit to everything he does. Walking, exploring and meeting new people, Blaze thinks life is one great adventure.

Before arriving at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, Blaze was a fearful stray trying his best to make sense of the world. With a change of scenery and the help of our program, he blossomed into the bright, silly, affectionate dog he is today. His confidence has grown, his curiosity has taken over and he now greets each day like it is something exciting just waiting for him to join in.

Blaze warms up quickly, and once you are in his circle, his sweet, goofy side shines. Blaze loves being close to his humans, whether he is trotting beside you on a walk or curling up nearby for a well-earned rest. Toys, especially squeaky ones, are his absolute joy. If it squeaks, Blaze believes it is a treasure, and he will proudly parade it around to make sure everyone sees.

Blaze is also a big fan of other dogs and loves to play. Rowdy, goofy, full‑body fun is his style, and he would be thrilled to have a canine friend who enjoys the same. Inside or outside, he brings an upbeat, joyful energy that is impossible not to smile at.

Blaze is a joyful goof who lives for toys that squeak, people who laugh at his antics and any moment where he gets to show off just how fun life can be. He is ready to take his big personality into a home that appreciates a dog with a little flair and a lot of heart.
