January 13, 2022

This Friday, January 14, is the cutest holiday of the year—National Dress Up Your Pet Day! We’re taking this holiday as an open invitation to dress up our furry and feathered friends and take the most adorable photos.

But, before you get snapping, be sure you know how to dress up your pet safely. This means:

  • No dangling, loose parts or headpieces. Check for small, dangling or easily chewed-off pieces before dressing your pet.
  • Your pet’s movement, sight or ability to breathe, bark or meow should not be limited.
  • If your pet seems distressed or shows abnormal behavior, a bandana or bowtie may be your best bet.
  • Avoid overly large/small costumes as they can present safety issues.

Check out some of these adorable ASPCA pets all dressed their best!
