As you may have guessed from her name, Kayak loves outdoor adventures and would love an adopter who wants to take her along! The people who know Kayak best tell us “she has a relaxed and sweet demeanor,” “loves sitting down and relaxing by the river” and “enjoys watching boats and other things on beautiful days.” She’s done well in volunteers’ apartments, too!

Kayak isn’t a big fan of being left alone just yet, and she can sometimes get a little too excited, so her new adopter should be ready to keep her busy with continued positive reinforcement training. And since she’s working on enjoying alone time, a patient adopter with a flexible schedule would really help with this gal’s confidence. Kayak would prefer the attention in a home all to herself—so no other dogs please! And when it comes to children, she’d love to live with older kids!
