Meet Maxwell! This handsome gent is a sweet dog with a calm demeanor. Maxwell came to us from a suspected hoarding situation where he was living with many other dogs. He spent some time with us at the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, and he is now ready to find a home of his own!

Big fan of: Cheese! Maxwell’s other favorite things include comfy beds, his dog friends and leisurely walks. When he’s with his canine pals, he enjoys exploring around a fenced-in yard and going for on-leash walks together. He even has nice leash manners! In our playgroups, he has done well with a wide variety of dogs.

Working on: Building his confidence around new people. Maxwell’s love of cheese certainly helps sway his opinion though! With some cheese and a leash in hand, he is sure to warm up to a new friend quickly!

Dream home: One with an adopter who understands that going to a new home can be scary. Maxwell may need some time to open up, but he is worth the wait! He is eager to find a family who will appreciate his love of long walks, watching the world go by and, of course, tasty treats. Dog siblings in his new home would also be great, as he would love to learn the ropes with them!
