NEW YORK, December 31, 2008 - Last Friday, December 27, Humane Law Enforcement agents of the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) arrested Rafael Lauda in front of 78 Richmond Terrace in Staten Island on multiple charges stemming from an automobile accident.
On December 3, the suspect was driving an automobile which struck and injured a five-month-old dog being walked by its owner. The suspect left the scene of the accident and did not provide any information to the pet’s owner.
Lauda, 22, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury to animal and driving with a suspended license.
The dog died soon after the accident at a nearby animal hospital.
