The first “ag-gag,” or whistleblower suppression, bill of 2014 has been introduced, and will be heard in the Corrections and Criminal Law committee on Tuesday at the Indiana State House. In 2013, 11 states saw introductions of these bills aimed at covering up animal abuse, unsafe working conditions and environmental violations on industrial factory farms.
