Red Lion Hotels
Red Lion is a pet friendly chain of full service hotels that provides comfort for both their human and pet guests. In fact, Red Lion’s pet policy is one of the industry’s most liberal, where pets can stay free at every hotel through the Red Lion R&R Club loyalty program. Pets can even earn points when they stay with their humans!
In recognition of the growing interest in pet travel, Red Lion is proud to partner with the ASPCA as a way to better serve these travelers and support animal welfare. Their corporate offices in Spokane, WA will be donating time to local animal causes and conducting fundraisers to benefit the ASPCA. In addition, some of their 46 hotels are looking to partner with local shelters to promote pet adoption and raise funds to benefit homeless pets in their communities. Red Lion Hotels are concentrated in the Pacific Northwest with locations in CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, as well as Victoria, BC.
Red Lion will raise funds for the ASPCA via sales of “Red, the Lion”, the company’s feline plush toy mascot that features the ASPCA signature orange logo. Guests will be able to purchase “Red” for $5, with 40% of the purchase price donated to the ASPCA* and the remaining proceeds going to local animal shelters in the communities that Red Lion serves. “Red” is also available for purchase at www.redlion.com/aspca. In addition, Red Lion has launched in innovative program called “Stay for a Cause” that is designed to support philanthropic organizations. They introduced the program at the Red Lion Dog Days of Summer - Dog Walk and Pet Festival in Spokane, WA on August 8. The company chose four animal welfare organizations to be the beneficiaries of the new program. When guests book a Red Lion stay using a special ID code, Red Lion will donate 10% of the room rate to these shelters. Since this is their first Stay for a Cause event, the ASPCA is thrilled that Red Lion chose the cause of animal welfare to launch this extraordinary campaign–yet another reflection of their corporate commitment and dedication to helping animals.
