Connecticut, Join Us for Committee Lobby Day!
In 2013, a Norwalk pit bull named Lucy was burned over most of her body, and her male companion and two puppies killed, when a space heater ignited the tarp that served as a roof over their makeshift doghouse.
That’s why we need your voice on Wednesday, February 17, when we hope you will join the ASPCA in Hartford for Committee Lobby Day!
At this event, you will have the opportunity to speak directly to your lawmakers about a lifesaving bill that would prevent this type of tragedy and help ensure safe, secure and comfortable sheltering for all dogs.
The Committee will be considering this critical measure in the weeks to come and, as a constituent, you have the power to change the lives of animals across Connecticut by making your support for this important bill known.
You are in a very special position to make your voice heard at Lobby Day. We are inviting only constituents of elected officials who serve on the General Assembly’s Environment Committee, which includes at least one of your state legislators.
We hope you can join us. We can’t pass this bill without your support and advocacy at Lobby Day!
Please RSVP using the form below, or email [email protected] with questions or for more information.
