Don’t let his little gray beard fool you—Major is a young man looking for a new home where he can keep busy! Full of energy, Major loves showing off his active side almost as much as he loves hanging out with his favorite people. He’s a fun guy through-and-through and is looking for someone who’s the same!
Big fan of: Everything! Major is a simple dude who’s just looking to have a little fun in whatever ways he can—and his all-time favorite way to keep himself amused? With playtime! An active dog, Major can never say no to a game involving a tennis ball or squeaky toy. He loves to burn off his energy by running around with his toys, and he’s great at making everyone smile with his goofy personality while doing so. Major adores every person he meets and is always courteous to include them in his games by bringing his toys over, letting the biggest smile come across his face and leaning his whole body weight into their lap. And if that isn’t enough, Major’s previous foster reports word-for-word that he’s “loving, smart and a good car rider!”
Working on: His manners! Major just gets so happy when meeting others—whether they’re humans or dogs—that he often forgets his manners. With people Major tends to jump up, and with other pups he tends to try to play in ways most other dogs don’t appreciate. He would benefit from some training to help him learn how to greet people appropriately, as well as more one-on-one interactions with other dogs. Major has also been noted to urine mark while out for walks. His adopter should be prepared for that the fact that he may initially urine mark in his new home as he settles in.
Dream home: Major is looking for an adopter who can keep him busy with fun and exercise, as well as someone who understands that he will likely need a little time to adjust to his new home. Major would prefer a home without cats, and because he often forgets to keep all four paws on the ground would likely do best with children ages 10 and up. If you think Major might be the man for you, come meet him today!
