Trust us when we say that Rocky’s foster caregivers absolutely love her—and you will, too! It took Rocky a bit of time to settle into her foster home, and we expect her to take time to settle into an adoptive home, too. But once she started to feel comfortable, Rocky’s foster dad described her as “the most human cat [he’s] ever met.” Rocky enjoys spending much of her time lazing around and napping on the bed, couch, windowsill or in one of her favorite comfy nooks. But when she wants attention, you’re sure to know! In the morning, Rocky can sometimes be found waking her people up with cuddles—potentially to ask for breakfast, but we can pretend it’s because she really just wants to snuggle.
Rocky can be apprehensive to approach at other times of day, but when she wants some love, she has no trouble asking for it at all! When she’s rearing and ready for attention, Rocky enjoys being scratched all over her head and ears and down her mid back—and sometimes even does the cutest little roll, especially if you’re laying down with her! Short doses of petting are preferred by Rocky. She’s clear with her body language and cute little noises when she’s had enough. Otherwise, Rocky enjoys being talked to, playing with laser lights and ball toys, following her people around and being in their laps!
Rocky is a sweet girl, but she is a bit more sensitive than your average kitty. She would benefit from a home that has some experience with cats like her and appreciates the fact that attention should be on Rocky’s terms. Small kids may not understand that too well, so a quiet, adults-only home is this pretty gal’s dream. According to her previous family, Rocky “will be your best friend when you need her.” So if you’re looking for a new best friend, we welcome you to fill out our Cat Adoption Survey!
