More About Her:
Meet Maria! This beautiful lady can be shy at first and likes to greet new guests at her own pace. Despite being timid, she is quite a chill kitty. She doesn’t mind kisses and cuddles and will even purr during belly rubs!
This sweet girl is also very gentle. If she’s not up for petting, she’ll calmly walk away and enjoy some “me” time. Maria will ask politely for food with a quiet meow, but she’s not the type of kitty who will wake you up early in the morning for breakfast.
Maria loves a great nap spot—like lounging in a sunny area or hiding under a cover. Her favorite lounge spot is on a soft blanket where she can nestle in comfortably. Maria is also a fan of playtime! She enjoys batting wand toys and can be a very active cat when she’s feeling playful.
Maria should be the only pet in her new family. She appreciates time to adapt to new places and would feel most comfortable in a quiet home with kids 10-and-up.
Foster Program Cat
As part of our adoption program, some of our feline friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows cats to have a more comfortable and domestic living space, and allows our behaviorists to learn more about each individual kitty's personality and needs. Through our foster program, we are able to offer adopters a clearer picture of how their new feline friend will adjust to life in a permanent home. If you are interested in meeting one of our foster program cats, please first call our Adoptions department at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120 to make an appointment. Our team will provide you with more information about meeting this cat.
I'm working undercover to keep an eye on you and your household. You may not even know you're under surveillance. I can vanish into thin air if anyone or anything interferes with my investigation. If you need a cat who knows how to stay out of trouble and will always keep your secrets, I just might take your case.
