More About Her:
Meet Constance! Once this initially shy kitten warms up to friendly faces, she is a social butterfly who loves to cuddle. In her foster home, Constance enjoys being petted before she goes to bed, often purring in content, and will sleep near her favorite people. Like most young felines, Constance is a playful gal! She likes wand toys, ping pong balls and toy mice.
When meeting new people, Constance will hide, not to be seen until she feels comfortable. It may take her quite a bit of time before she feels safe, but this sweet girl is definitely worth the wait. If you’re patient and okay letting our little ghost appear when she’s ready, the Behavior team can provide more information about how to set Constance up for success in her new home.
This lovely girl can join a quiet, adults-only home with an experienced adopter.
As part of our adoption program, some of our feline and canine friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows our Adoption Center and Foster teams to learn more about each animal’s individual personality and needs, while they are in a more comfortable living space, outside of the shelter setting. Through our foster program, we are able to offer adopters a clearer picture of how their new pet will adjust to life in a permanent home. The goal of the Adoption Ambassador program is for these foster animals to be adopted directly from their foster home.
If you are interested in meeting one of our Adoption Ambassador animals, please first call our Adoptions department at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120 to make an appointment. Our team will provide you with more information.
