Buick spent almost his entire life living with one family. Now, as an 11-year-old senior gentleman, he’s back at the ASPCA Adoption Center to find a new, loving home where he can spend his golden years enjoying all the good things life has to offer. According to Buick’s previous family this guy can be shy around strangers, but under his shy exterior is one of the world’s sweetest, most loving cats. Buick can sometimes be found seeking attention in the form of pets and scratches from his favorite people, but if they aren’t around this guy has no problem keeping himself entertained! Plastic balls are Buick’s toy of choice, and he doesn’t let his age stop him at all from showing off his amazing soccer skills. When playtime is over, Buick enjoys spending quality time with his people, being held and being brushed.
Buick has chronic kidney disease, which isn’t uncommon in older cats. He will need to be on a special prescription diet for life, and our Matchmakers would be happy to speak with potential adopters about what this disease looks like and how it progresses. While he hasn’t been around other animals or children much, we think Buick would make a great fit for many different types of families who can look past his medical needs and love him for the sweet boy he is.
