Anegada has come so far since we first met her, and we can’t wait to see her find a home! Arriving at the ASPCA from a home with lots and lots of other cats where she likely didn’t get very much human attention, Anegada has spent the last few months learning that people can be pretty okay. She can still be nervous in new places and will definitely be nervous when going to a new home. But along with giving her time and space to settle in, there are two surefire ways to win Anegada’s heart—treats and toys!
When she isn’t chowing down, Anegada loves playing, particularly with wand toys. When you stop, she stares at you with the cutest little face, begging you to keep going! After playtime is over, Anegada has a few different spots where she likes to hang out. Often times, she can be found curled up in a cozy nook. Sometimes she enjoys staying within a few feet of her people and keeping an eye on them—if you feel like someone’s watching you, it’s probably Anegada! She’s just started to learn that being pet is pretty cool and enjoys a couple gentle, short strokes down her back on her terms. No pets or reaches toward her face, please!
Anegada is still learning how great life with humans who love her can be. She’s looking for an experienced adopter who’s ready to take things slow and is excited to help her keep making progress! A home without dogs, other cats or small kids would be the dream for this pretty lady.
