Big fan of: Every person he meets, tummy rubs, snuggling and cuddling, resting his head on your lap, leisurely walks outside, greeting his favorite people with enthusiasm, and meeting or socializing with other dogs.

Not a fan of: Johnny’s so happy-go-lucky that we haven’t found a single thing he doesn’t like!

Special features: There’s a reason ASPCA staffers call this cutie “love bunny” and “cuddle muffin.” This sometime couch potato is big into affection.

Other reasons he’s special: Johnny is an amazingly sweet and lovable dog, even in the face of great adversity. When we met Johnny, he was suffering through a very hard life. He was able to use only his front legs and dragged his back legs behind him. At first we thought he’d been injured, but our veterinarians soon realized he had a spine infection. After treating the infection, we slowly taught him how to walk again. Now Johnny has a great appreciation for his legs and loves to use them!

Dream home: A perfect family dog, Johnny would be happy in a home with kids eight and up—especially with fellow snugglers—in a quiet area.
