Video: Inside Look at Massive Dog Fighting Bust

Rescued Dog

As many of you know, last weekend the ASPCA and responders from The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) removed more than 360 dogs from dog fighting properties in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Texas. Many are emaciated, with scars and wounds consistent with dog fighting. They’re spending their first days learning what it’s like to receive adequate care.

The dogs and puppies are safe now. They’ll never suffer in extreme heat without access to water. They’ll never be chained to cinder blocks and car tires again. And they’ll never be forced to fight.

Right now, the ASPCA is providing shelter, veterinary care, healthy food and much-needed attention and affection to hundreds of dogs and puppies. Our work is far from over. It’s a massive undertaking that will require months of food and supplies and man hours to ensure these dogs get the best possible care. Veterinary professionals, behavior professionals and so many others will be involved.

Please take a moment to watch and share our rescue video. You’ll see some of the dogs we rescued, as well as the real conditions these dogs were forced to endure.

Stay tuned to for more news to come. Follow the conversation on Twitter using hashtag #367rescue. If now is a good time for you to give, please consider making a gift to the ASPCA.

Cindaydavilla, nobody here is interested. Go play somewhere else, please. You're just wasting our time AND yours by posting here.

You POOR, SAD people! I just don't understand your mentality. These courageous and wonderful poeple spend their lives fighting for the gentle creatures who cannot speak for themselves. I'm from England and i can tell you that i sympathize whole heartedly with ASPCA and wish with all my heart that i could help them more than i do at the present time. And you, you should be ashamed of yourselves!!! I hope that you never have to suffer the sort that these poor animals suffer. By the way, you are free to reply to this, but whatever you write it will not touch me in the least. POOR,SAD PEOPLE!

Trying to make a buck off of the pain, suffering and abuse of animals. Your just about as bad as the Dog Fighters themselves!!!

I hope that's not how you really feel and you were just having a bad day. You obviously done know anything about animal rescue or how to run an organization that spends millions of dollars to help save the lives of and bring awarness to the uneducated public about the massive abuse animals endure on a daily basis. Get a clue.

Well said Doug! Thank you...

You're an ass - & probably an abuser, too - there's no way this kind of tremendous good work can be done on just the air we breathe - you need a reality check, a brain & a heart - SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As soon as I can afford it - I intend to donate as much as I can - until then I will support the efforts of animal advocates in other ways.

@Kim and @Doug. You people are fucking dumb. Read the chain of comment. He was referring to the spam that CinDayDaVille posted. Learn to read before commenting.
