Meet Charlie! Charlie is a shy and skittish boy and feels more comfortable around other cats than he does around humans. He would love a calm and patient adopter who understands that he is very smart, curious and sweet, and will need some time to adjust to new people and places.

Charlie absolutely adores his foster family's other cats as they help him come out of his shell. He is the perfect "cat's cat" and would be an ideal match for someone looking to adopt a feline friend for their current cat or kitten. Charlie may not want to be your best friend, but he will provide hours of entertainment and snuggles for your resident cat!

Charlie has made a lot of progress since he first came into our foster program, and his foster family has worked every day to build his trust. Once he gets to know you, Charlie will show off just how smart he is—his foster caregiver has taught him how to stand on his hind legs and to give high fives and fist bumps! All you need are treats and patience to win him over.

Most of the time Charlie just likes to hang out in the same room as you, observe what's going on around him, and play all day with his cat friends. He loves running around the house with his favorite toy and batting it between him and one of his foster family's cats. Charlie is also a very polite boy who shares his treats and eats his food together with the other cats during mealtime.

Our Adoption Team would be happy to give an adopter recommendations for helping him adjust to a new home. If Charlie sounds like your kitty’s new BFF, please complete our online adoption survey
