FEBRUARY 2016 | Jill & Hannah
Community Initiatives since 2002.
Jill and her husband adopted Hannah on May 6, 2014, during the Grand Opening of the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Clinic in South Los Angeles at Chesterfield Square. Their dog, Margie, had passed away several months before, and they thought their other dog, Houston—who had been adopted four years earlier—was lonely and needed a companion.
The Director of LA Animal Services knew that the couple was interested in adopting a dog, so she arranged to have Hannah meet them the moment they got out of their car. Hannah was two years old and had been brought to the shelter as a stray, and fortunately, Jill says, “It was love at first sight for us AND for Houston!”
They were also thrilled to learn that Hannah was one of the very first dogs spayed at the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Clinic in South Los Angeles.
