April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, and each year, the ASPCA urges supporters across the country to “Go Orange for Animals” to raise awareness. Join us!
Here are a few ways you can help us spread the word about preventing cruelty to animals:
Create Your Own ASPCA Fundraiser Campaign
By creating your own fundraising campaign page  for a special event, setting up a memorial page or participating in one of our athletic events, you’ll help animals in need nationwide.
Support Your Local Animal Shelter
Coordinate a ”Go Orange for Animals” event, such an adoption event or donation drive, with a local animal welfare group or shelter of your choice and donate the proceeds and/or supplies that you collect. To find a shelter or rescue group near you, visit our shelter database .
Show Your Virtual Support
Spread the word about Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month by posting on your social media networks using the hashtag #fightcruelty and tagging @aspca . You can also follow the ASPCA on Facebook , Twitter , Instagram  and Pinterest .
Open your closet and get out those bright orange pants, shirts, ties, shoelaces and socks and don them throughout the month of April. Visit the ASPCA Online Store  to browse a variety of orange apparel!
Become an Animal Activist
Visit our Advocacy Center  and join the ASPCA Advocacy Brigade  to receive emails about important animal welfare-related legislation and find out how you can make a difference.
