Precocious pooches of all shapes and sizes will strut their stuff at the ASPCA®)’s (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) 3rd Annual “Best in Show” talent competition on February 15th at the ASPCA Pet Adoption Center in Manhattan.
The talent show helps celebrate “I Love NYC Pets Month,” which features adoption events by various New York City animal welfare and rescue groups throughout February.

Ten canines, all available for adoption at the ASPCA, and their handlers will showcase their soon-to-be unhidden talents for a panel of celebrity judges that includes award-winning stage and screen actress and ASPCA supporter Kristen Johnston, legendary Broadway star and singer Maureen McGovern, WQHT’s hit HOT 97 FM DJ Angie Martinez, the face of Ralph Lauren’s HOT perfume, Lonneke Engel, and the ASPCA’s Supervisory Special Investigator and star of the hit show “Animal Precinct,” Annemarie Lucas.
The contestants will also be visited by a former ASPCA resident, who will demonstrate the luxuries of living the good life with his adoptive mom, who happens to be one of our celebrity judges!
First, second and third place winners will be judged on several criteria, including overall presentation, dog’s attentiveness to the handler, and creativity of the commands learned.
