Mini Pony's Leg Locks

I have a nine-month-old mini pony whose left rear leg locks up. He’s had this issue since birth and my vet thinks surgery might make things worse. Is there any kind of grain or supplement that may help?

Aside from providing him with daily exercise, Troy, we recommend you consider housing your pony in a larger enclosure (paddock versus stall) so that he has the freedom to move about and stay loose. We also recommend you discuss with your veterinarian the possibility of feeding him a supplement. Based on what your vet knows about your pony’s joint problem, he or she will be able to provide you with the most accurate advice.
