Holistic Pet Diets
I currently feed my dogs and cats Iams, but I’ve heard more and more about holistic diets. What are your thoughts about this?

There are a number of high-quality pet foods available to pet parents today, so we understand the challenge of finding the right food for your pets. We do have confidence that brands such as Iams are of a very high quality. Premium pet food companies have put much time and many resources into studying what works best for pets nutritionally. So, unless you or your veterinarian have serious concerns about your pets' nutritional status, we do not think a change in diet is necessary.
We’ve heard anecdotal evidence that certain alternative diets are working well for some dogs. Over time we’ll learn more about these diets and their long-term benefits or drawbacks. Until then, however, veterinarians seem to recommend products like Iams and Science Diet most frequently.
