Can Rabbits Eat Corn?

Can rabbits eat corn? I’ve heard mixed answers to this question.

- Marla D.

We wouldn’t recommend feeding your rabbit corn, Marla, as it can cause her digestive upset. We would also recommend you avoid feeding your rabbit iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, beans, peas, potatoes, beets, onions, rhubarb, bamboo, seeds, grains, chocolate and candy. Some healthy foods you can feed her are romaine and leaf lettuces, parsley, cilantro, collard greens and dandelion greens. You may also consider adding to this list apples (no seeds or stems, please), blueberries, strawberries, pears, peaches, plums and melons. Grass hay should be an important component of your rabbit's diet, too, and she should always have access to it.

Please take a look at our Rabbit Care section for more information about healthy diet.
