Your information can help us to fight puppy mills.
We need your help, canine caretakers. As part of the ASPCA’s initiative to crack down on puppy mills, we want to find out where America gets its pets.
If you have purchased your dog from a pet store or a breeder, please fill out our survey today. And if you adopted your dog from a shelter or rescue group, found your pets as strays or acquired them from friends or neighbors, we want to hear about your experiences as well. The more information we have, the better equipped we'll be to stop puppy mills.
You probably know that puppy mills are substandard commercial dog breeding operations known for housing dogs in overcrowded, often unsanitary conditions, without adequate veterinary care, food, water and socialization. But you may not know that puppy mill dogs are regularly sold at pet stores, or how to tell a responsible breeder from an irresponsible one.
Please take a few minutes to fill out our survey today and please forward this page on to all the dog owners you know. Do you have more than one dog? Once you have entered information for your first pet, you will have the option to complete surveys for each additional canine in your clan.
Thanks for taking action today—we’ll keep you posted about our campaign to crack down on puppy mills!
