Justen and his girlfriend went to the ASPCA Adoption Center with a specific dog in mind. But the moment they saw Muppet, everything changed.  Justen shared their Happy Tail with us:

When we went to the ASPCA Adoption Center, Muppet was not who we planned to take home. We were ready to sign off on another dog, but as we headed toward the elevator, something miraculous happened. I looked over to a fenced area and saw Muppet. Even though he was a senior dog with health issues, he looked so energetic and happy. I thought, “Look, even though he has a heart condition, he has such energy and life.” That was enough for me. I went downstairs with a new mindset, and soon, Muppet was the newest addition to our family. We renamed him Beethoven and have fallen in love with him. He has a lust for life that makes us so happy!

Thank you, Justen and girlfriend, for giving Muppet a beautiful and loving and fun-filled new home. Thank you for seeing the perfection in a senior, special-needs animal! Your goodness has lifted my spirit. The photo of Muppet on the bed is way beyond adorable! I am so happy for you all. Happy holidays to Muppet and his adoring, wonderful new family!

Aww, that's so sweet. But I wonder what happened to the other doggie? I hope he gets adopted to a wonderful and loving home soon, too!
