Video: Inside Look at Massive Dog Fighting Bust

Wednesday, August 28, 2013 - 4:15pm
Rescued Dog

As many of you know, last weekend the ASPCA and responders from The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) removed more than 360 dogs from dog fighting properties in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Texas. Many are emaciated, with scars and wounds consistent with dog fighting. They’re spending their first days learning what it’s like to receive adequate care.

The dogs and puppies are safe now. They’ll never suffer in extreme heat without access to water. They’ll never be chained to cinder blocks and car tires again. And they’ll never be forced to fight.

Right now, the ASPCA is providing shelter, veterinary care, healthy food and much-needed attention and affection to hundreds of dogs and puppies. Our work is far from over. It’s a massive undertaking that will require months of food and supplies and man hours to ensure these dogs get the best possible care. Veterinary professionals, behavior professionals and so many others will be involved.

Please take a moment to watch and share our rescue video. You’ll see some of the dogs we rescued, as well as the real conditions these dogs were forced to endure.

Stay tuned to for more news to come. Follow the conversation on Twitter using hashtag #367rescue. If now is a good time for you to give, please consider making a gift to the ASPCA.

ASPCA you are wonderful wonderful people. You are like GOD! Thank you so much for what you do>>> And make those people pay for this!!!!!! in JAIL!!

Becky Lane

Thank you all for the wonderful, selfless work you do every day for so many animals that cannot speak for themselves. I hope the people that ran this horrible, painful, careless operation are punished to the greatest still will never be enough.....We already contribute monthly, and give extra through out times that we can. We are so very, very grateful for the "A"!!!! God bless you all!!!!

The work that you people do is priceless. Thank you for looking out for these poor
animals that have been so abused. The human animals that find joy in hurting and
abusing these animals should be punished with the most severe punishment allowed. ASPCA foundation is a foundation that supports the animals they promise to protect. God bless you. For those morons out there who get a kick out of abusing animals, look out, they are coming for you and you will get exactly what you deserve. Karma is a bitch.

Jail is too good for these awful so called people...somehow, someway these 2 footed animals need to suffer for what they have done to these helpless dogs. You folks at ASPCA are the best! My hat goes off to you.

I look at these dogs, and I've rescued a few myself. It doesn't go away. We are looking at an influx of foreign nationals whose culture permits cock and dog fighting. Bingo! No one has thought of that.

I applaud all the work you do and especially sharing with the public your videos to bring attention to your heroic work.

My question here today is this: "PIT BULLS" are targeted by law enforcement all over this country and the movement is spreading all over the world. In dynamic entries at wrong addresses, on the street, in their own yards, with their owners, getting lost - often law enforcement is called and they are shot on the spot.

What do we do about these outlaw law enforcement agents who will lie to save their jobs by saying "the dog growled", the dog was acting "aggressively", the dog "charged" me. There was a recent case in a wrong address dynamic entry where a pit bull, a veteran's companion/service dog was tied to a table leg, and shot on the spot.

If you make yourself a Google search on cop shoots dog, police kill family pet, you will be horrified.

The victims are usually pit bulls or crosses, but there are stories and videos of horrendous overreach by law enforcement, including a lovely Rottweiler who was in her own yard, outside her own kennel.

The officer shot her doing nothing, left, returned, dragged her bleeding and lifeless body into the grass and hosed down the patio.

The neighbors caught it all on video.

Now what do we do about this?

Dear, dear Susie, Amen! Amen! I am with you all the way on this. Thank you!

In Jail...screw that.....put a chain around their necks, starve them, hit them, let them bathe in their own feces and let them see the hell they put those poor dogs through. Then take em in the back and shoot em!
