It's National Spay/Neuter Month—Share One of Our Awesome Memes!

Tuesday, February 25, 2014 - 10:00am
"To spay or Not to Spay?" It's not even a question.

Does it seem like there are too many animals and not enough homes for them all? Well, you’re right! And the biggest cause of pet overpopulation is failing to spay and neuter your pets. You’d think people would have gotten the message by now—spaying and neutering saves lives! But there are still tons of unwanted litters. What gives?

February is National Spay/Neuter Month, and we could use your help to spread the word. Please share one of our spay/neuter memes on your social networks—like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. They're funny, informative and a really easy way to remind people about the importance of spaying and neutering pets. Visit our collection of shareable memes today, and let us know which one is your favorite.

Thanks for helping!

That is my english setters picture who you are using on this page. I was never contact about anyone using it or editing it. Where was it found and why is it being used without my permission?

We get our images from contest submissions, so if you or a family member entered one, that's where it came from! We include this information in each of our contests' rules. Let us know if you would like us to take it down!

I am all for spay and neuter your dogs. I have a little terrier that came to me, she needs to be spayed, but I just don't have the money, I have seen real inexpensive clinics, that seem like a hatchet job, I want her to my own Vet, but have to wait, now I think she is coming into heat. I hate not having the money for her! I feel there should be nice clinics that can do the spay for very little money and I know more people would go to them. I live in the Inland Empire of So. Cal.

have you checked out Friends of Animals?? They offer low cost spay and neuter certificates. You may not be able to use them at *your* vet but the vets that do accept the certificates that I know NJ are generally reputable. http://friendsofanimals.org/spay_neuter_certificate_information

watch her closely - don't let her go outside alone. good luck!

Hi Trurena! You can find low-cost spay/neuter services near you through this search engine: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/spayneuter. It's a lot cheaper than caring for a litter of puppies!

A teacup puppy store opened up in my town. It sells jewelry and puppies. The puppies are displayed in a glass window and are never taken out of the store. These puppies go for $1200 plus. We are a tourist beach town in Florida and I know that many people buy on impulse. What can we do about these stores?

Thanks for sharing. "To spay or not to spay" is my favorite one.
