ASPCA Pet of the Week: Megan

Thursday, June 26, 2014 - 12:00pm
Calico cat

Named after hit TV show Mad Men’s leading lady, Megan is a sweet and sensitive beauty. This kitty can be shy at first and it may take her a little bit of time to settle into her new home. Once she does, she’ll be putting on a show in no time—just like her primetime counterpart!

Megan loves attention. If you bring out her favorite toys, she’ll soon come out of her cage for plenty of affection and playtime! Megan is interested in meeting other cats and we think, with proper introductions, she’ll get along just fine with your resident felines. A previous injury left Megan with mild arthritis, but our medical staff is available to talk you through the best ways to care for her condition. Adopt Megan today!

Megan is available for adoption at the ASPCA Adoption Center. If you are interested in adopting, please call our Adoptions department in New York City at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120. To learn more about Megan, please visit her profile page.

She is beautiful.

Megan is absolutely gorgeous. Her colors and random patterns are incredible. Anyone would be very special to be owned by Megan. She could become a great family member in your home.

OMG, she is so very beautiful. I don't usually post but had to say that this cat is simply stunning and I am more of a dog person. Love all animals though!!! Hope she finds a great home.

I wished I lived closer to NYC. I lost my calico 2 years ago. We had to put down our 16 year old Chow Chow and Vixen was so attached to him, that after he was no longer around, she stopped eating, drinking & playing. I tried everything and eventually she started coming around and gaining weight and I thought she was going to be OK. One day I came home and she was gasping for breath. I had my daughter drive me to the emergency vet hospital while I was giving her CPR on the way. It was too late and they couldn't save her. I still have my one Tuxedo cat left who could use a playmate. Too bad you are so far away.

Sweet kitty w/stunning markings. Would love to adopt this lovely little lady!

Good luck, beautiful Megan! I wouldn't mind a trip to NYC for some museum time and to visit you someday. But right now my 12 year old Queen Maab needs to be an only-kitty. (She is dealing with a paralyzed tail, etc.) I know someone is falling in love with Megan right now.

wow, megan is gorgeous, breathtaking. she has all the colors of autumn. she seems very sweet and loving, too. i hope she finds a beautiful home very soon.
