Where Can I Report Animal Cruelty on the Internet?

Wednesday, January 25, 2012 - 11:30am

We’ve all seen them: shocking online photos and video clips of animals being abused. Internet cruelty is horrible, and you have every right to be upset about it. The best way to stop this type of abuse is to immediately report it to the proper authorities and refrain from contacting, visiting or forwarding links to friends. Here are a few tips on how to report websites that display acts of cruelty to animals:

 • First contact the website host or sponsor. Major sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google, have Terms of Service that restrict the depiction of objectionable material.
 • The next step is to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice. Try to include as much information as you can (links to the offending material, names, locations, etc.)
 • Contact your local and national media organizations—the media can bring public attention to an animal abuse situation and help initiate corrective actions.

Internet cruelty is no joke, and many times it’s downright illegal. Learn more ways you can fight—and report—online cruelty.

When did you post this? Did this little dog get rescued? Your post doesn't have a date or a response from anyone. You can also call the ASPCA and PETA by phone for raster reporting.

More people really need to report what they see when it comes to animal cruelty. I once had a neighbor who had been mistreating their dog for years before I had arrived in the neighborhood. All of the neighbors knew about it but said nothing, I reported it immediately and from what I've heard, the dogs now in a good home.

You can really change an animals life for the better by making sure you don't ignore the signs. Keep up the good work folks!

I want to report a horrific Facebook posting of a man beating his dog. I was told it was from Tonga and the person's name is Elder Tu'ifangalele. Is there any way anything can be done even if it's not from the U.S.??!!! Please, if anyone can help...we need to have this cruelty stopped!!! Thank you for attention on this.

On January 3rd, 2015 (Saturday) approximately 1:15 pm Home owners two American Bull Dogs were both killed by back door neighbors. The back door neighbors fed the dogs food laced with poison. We reported and called 911 for help! Mean while, the home owners tried desperately to save the dogs, and couldn't. This is out-wrong "Animal Cruelty." To see your pets poison, gasping for their last breath of air! God says, and it is written "Thou shall love thy neighbor." One of Almighty God greatest commanments. Not to kill, to take your revenge out on "Neighbor's" innocent pets. How could you praise, and shout in CHURCH after killing your neighbors pets? But remember God says REVENGE IS MINE. my animals did suffer by the death of your hands in this world. But by the Death of Hell, for your wrong doing; Gods ever lasting fire shall burn you forever. My animal suffered, but what God has planned for you, you shall forever feel Gods burnining "FIRE OF FLAME," for eternally! ! ! So get ready....... Our Dogs, were both loving and caring, we had them both from tinny puppies (Brother & Sister). We named them "Baby Girl, & Baby boy." Rest in peace my precious dogs.....
