Rescued Dog

As many of you know, last weekend the ASPCA and responders from The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) removed more than 360 dogs from dog fighting properties in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Texas. Many are emaciated, with scars and wounds consistent with dog fighting. They’re spending their first days learning what it’s like to receive adequate care.

The dogs and puppies are safe now. They’ll never suffer in extreme heat without access to water. They’ll never be chained to cinder blocks and car tires again. And they’ll never be forced to fight.

Right now, the ASPCA is providing shelter, veterinary care, healthy food and much-needed attention and affection to hundreds of dogs and puppies. Our work is far from over. It’s a massive undertaking that will require months of food and supplies and man hours to ensure these dogs get the best possible care. Veterinary professionals, behavior professionals and so many others will be involved.

Please take a moment to watch and share our rescue video. You’ll see some of the dogs we rescued, as well as the real conditions these dogs were forced to endure.

Stay tuned to for more news to come. Follow the conversation on Twitter using hashtag #367rescue. If now is a good time for you to give, please consider making a gift to the ASPCA.

God bless you all, what a great job you are doing.
These people want locking up for a long time, see how they like it.

You are awesome - now lets look at the source - breeding and sale of the animal world that the human population takes for granted and abuses on a daily basis. What can we do about prevention?

I will be donating to this cause and providing dog houses for those animals chained and left out in the severe weather conditions. I guess my question is when someone leaves a dog, cat, horse, goat, chicken in an unsafe condition, why are they allowed to keep the animal? Having an animal is not a right as far as I'm concerned - it is a privelege..

I love you ASPCA, thank God you are there to help these sweet helpless animals. It is so hard to know what people are doing to animals and feel like we can do nothing about it. Again, thank you so much!!!

God bless all of you with ASPCA that dedicate your time to help animals in need! It is sad and so inhumane what some heartless people do to animals. Your organization is wonderful! Thank you for your selfless dedication to the cause of the creatures in need.

Those who commit such crimes are not people and are not human. Killing dogs is killing our best friends. They deserve the same sentence that anyone who kills another human being gets- 40 to life. However why keep them alive, so that they can be a burden to society. And depending on severity the death sentence for doing that. What do such adorable pets do to deserve to be treated this way. It is no wonder this world is the way it is. These beasts, and I call them that cause only beasts can do something like that, have no right to comit such evil crimes. .

people who are involved in dog-fighting have no shred of humanity in them. I won't feel any remorse if any of them suffer or die in horrific way. Just saying.

I luv, luv ASPCA and HSUS for their great work....with all the surveillance, spying, email reading etc....the money and technology is there to bust more of these rings....until we start prosecuting them to the fullest, organizers, spectators, and the like...and until Americans stop rewarding people like Michael Vick....I am fearful not much will change....but it could. People should have booed Vick and turned their backs on him..Maybe too much money for bought off city employees...and others....Nonetheless....Great work...These poor sweet just makes me sick.......
