Rescued Dog

As many of you know, last weekend the ASPCA and responders from The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) removed more than 360 dogs from dog fighting properties in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Texas. Many are emaciated, with scars and wounds consistent with dog fighting. They’re spending their first days learning what it’s like to receive adequate care.

The dogs and puppies are safe now. They’ll never suffer in extreme heat without access to water. They’ll never be chained to cinder blocks and car tires again. And they’ll never be forced to fight.

Right now, the ASPCA is providing shelter, veterinary care, healthy food and much-needed attention and affection to hundreds of dogs and puppies. Our work is far from over. It’s a massive undertaking that will require months of food and supplies and man hours to ensure these dogs get the best possible care. Veterinary professionals, behavior professionals and so many others will be involved.

Please take a moment to watch and share our rescue video. You’ll see some of the dogs we rescued, as well as the real conditions these dogs were forced to endure.

Stay tuned to aspcarescue.org for more news to come. Follow the conversation on Twitter using hashtag #367rescue. If now is a good time for you to give, please consider making a gift to the ASPCA.

Thank You Thank You for the wonderful job you all do I do not know how you stand it To see these poor animals treated this way breaks my heart.

Judy

You are all so special thank you all for the wonderful job you do and continue to do!

You can never be thanked enough. It is hard for me to believe that human beings
can be so cruel to defenseless animals. These people are the dregs of humanity.
They need a severe punishment for all the pain and agony they have inflicted
on these poor dogs.. Please do not stop till all dog fighting is stopped. There
are many local dog fights in rural areas of MS.

Suzanne

Good Bless ASPCA...
I also want to make everyone aware of what is going on in South Korea and China on the black market to dogs. I was on change.org and somehow found a huge list of horrendous petitions. Please be prepared it will give you nightmares. I don't know what to do with this but make others aware and contact our current administration. When I went back into the site to try to pull off a link I was blocked (tried numerous times). Anyone out there please help! It was the most vile evil I have ever seen. Hell on earth for these precious suffering animals that love so much.

time to bring the full extent of the law against the people who are involved in this horrific crime, including those who watch!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH U PEOPLE!!!

Joanna

A law similar to Megan's law in NJ should be enacted to make names of those responsible for these cruel acts published. Also, the spectators of dog fights should be criminally prosecuted. I adopted a pitbull youngster who had been abused. He is the most loving, wonderful dog i have ever had. He was clearly beaten before i got him based on his fear of any stick-like objects. It took me months to get him to go on walks without fear. Thanks to my other dog who immediately adopted him and took him under her wings, he is a happy go lucky, loving, sweet baby. He loves my cat too. These dogs deserve the best, and I hope during my lifetime i see the day when no dog has to fight, and they all have good homes they truly deserve.

I just hate and am ashamed that individuals withing the human race are capable of such actions. It's disgusting.
ASPCA, Thank you for caring for such wonderful animals!!!
