Have you heard about Nickelodeon's "Paw Patrol" yet? We’re partnering with Nick on this exciting new show, which features super-cute puppies on a mission to help people and animals in their community of Adventure Bay.
The show premieres next month, but kids can get to know the show now with these fun coloring pages and pet adoption checklist, provided exclusively to the ASPCA by Nickelodeon.
Virtual Piggy is an online family wallet that protects your child's privacy when he or she shops online under the limits you set. Parents stay in control, kids and teens get to learn financial responsibility, and there are never any fees or charges. It’s a great way to create an ongoing family conversation around financial literacy by empowering kids to make decisions within parental boundaries.
Virtual Piggy also provides kids and teens with tools to help them budget, save and give to charities responsibly. The service is 100% free to use, and available online or via mobile.
“Philanthropy is important to us and a key component to a well-rounded knowledge of financial literacy,” says Dr. Jo Webber, CEO and founder of Virtual Piggy. “We are excited to work with the ASPCA, which is one of the Virtual Piggy members’ favorite charities.”
“Kids and teens have always had a passion for the welfare of animals,” adds Elysia Howard, ASPCA Vice President of Marketing and Licensing. “Now they can feel empowered to directly contribute to a cause they deeply care about.”

Exciting news for parents with toddlers: The ASPCA has partnered with Nickelodeon on its new show “Paw Patrol.” The show features super-cute puppies on a mission to help people and animals in their community of Adventure Bay. Check it out over at Nick Jr.
We’ll have updates on “Paw Patrol” at ASPCA Parents, our new blog for parents of kids who love animals—coming soon!
For the fifth year in a row, the ASPCA was honored to be selected as one of five national charities to participate in the Subaru “Share the Love” winter event. During the campaign, which took place from November 2012 to January 2013, Subaru donated $250 to the new owner’s choice of five participating charities whenever a new vehicle was purchased or leased. As a result, $1.4 million was raised for the ASPCA, and 100% of the funds have been distributed as grants to animal welfare organizations in all 50 states!
Bu that’s not all! During “Share the Love,” we helped match shelters with local Subaru dealerships to host events promoting pet adoption. A record 116 events took place, resulting in more than 1,300 adoptions.
Adoption event attendees and grantees were encouraged to share pictures from the events on Twitter, and now you can join in! Help us share our love back to Subaru on behalf of all the animals they have helped: Share your love by tweeting photos of your pets and your very own Subaru vehicles using the hashtag #aspcaSTL.
Reminder for ASPCA Guardians and Founders: You may be eligible for a special offer from Subaru when you lease or purchase a new Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, Tribeca, WRX, STI, BRZ or XV Crosstrek. As an added bonus, Subaru will also donate $100 to the ASPCA! Please review offer details on ASPCA.org before contacting your local Subaru dealership.
