Today, in honor of National Cat Day, we’re teaming up with Cheezburger, the online humor network, and Uber for a special three-city event, "I Can Has Uber Kittens.” For only $20 (with 100% of the New York proceeds benefiting the ASPCA), cat lovers can order a special “kitten car” to bring furry felines to their office for some exclusive kitty playtime!
Uber drivers in New York, San Francisco and Seattle will transport the kittens, accompanied by shelter volunteers as chaperones, from each city’s partner shelter. As a thank you for every visit, Cheezburger is including a delivery of designer cupcakes created by celebrity pastry chef Duff Goldman, star of Ace of Cakes on The Food Network. In addition to the proceeds from each kitten visit, Cheezburger will make an additional donation to all three participating shelters.
This fun and lighthearted event was created to highlight the importance of making pet adoption your first option. There are millions of cats in shelters across the country that may not be a part of the Uber kitten car but are still uber cute and waiting for a home!

In conjunction with Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, Ralph Lauren has collaborated with the ASPCA to create The Dog Walk, a short film featuring rescue dogs from the ASPCA and the designer's Fall 2013 accessories collection. The film takes you on a virtual dog walk through the streets of New York City and Paris, with a few fun surprises along the way.
From October 15 to November 15, 10 percent of the purchase price of select accessories and dog apparel* featured in the film will be donated to the ASPCA to support and raise awareness for shelter dog adoptions. We're pleased to announce that all of the shelter dogs who starred in the film have since found forever homes and are thriving with their new families!

Shopaholics and animal lovers rejoice! Women’s retailer Anthropologie is hosting its annual Sit. Stay. Love. campaign, a pet adoption event and pet supply drive for animal shelters across the country, the weekend of September 20-22. All 180 Anthropologie stores across the U.S. and Canada will host events and, with our support, strive to break adoption and donation records from last year.
Now in its fifth year, Anthropologie’s Sit. Stay. Love. campaign has resulted in hundreds of dog adoptions and raised thousands of dollars in supplies for local shelters.
