Here at the ASPCA, we’re of the mindset that if you love animals, you should let the world know it! We can’t think of a better way to spread the word than by taking a stroll in adorable Vans X ASPCA dog- and cat-themed shoes designed in support of the ASPCA’s life-saving work for animals.
Are you in the New York City area? Vans and the ASPCA are teaming up to host a special pet adoption event on Saturday, March 22, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. The event, which will be held at the House of Vans at 25 Franklin Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, will feature adoptable dogs and cats from the ASPCA Adoption Center and Animal Care & Control of New York City. We’ll also have food trucks, gifts and an interactive photo booth on site. Two-legged guests of all ages are welcome to attend!
What could be better than finding your life-long match? On the heels of Valentine’s Day, the ASPCA has teamed up with OkCupid and Draftfcb New York to help single pets find their perfect companions! Several of our adorable adoptable cats and dogs now have their very own profiles on the well-known dating site.
Each OkCupid pet profile incorporates our Meet Your Match® program which evaluates the animal’s personality and matches it to an adopter’s preferences.
If you're a member of OkCupid, keep your eyes out for our furry singles looking for love. If not, you can still check out the dating profiles of Karma, Bella, Mona and Florsheim. You’re not going to believe how cute they are!
Enter to Win a Pet Lovers Gift Pack! Already taken? Well, you can still help our adoptables find true love by entering our True Love contest. Visit our contest page to vote for your favorite pet, share their profile on your social networks and you’ll be automatically entered to win a special Pet Lovers Gift Pack!
Thanks for helping us make a love connection for these homeless pets.
Today, in honor of National Cat Day, we’re teaming up with Cheezburger, the online humor network, and Uber for a special three-city event, "I Can Has Uber Kittens.” For only $20 (with 100% of the New York proceeds benefiting the ASPCA), cat lovers can order a special “kitten car” to bring furry felines to their office for some exclusive kitty playtime!
Uber drivers in New York, San Francisco and Seattle will transport the kittens, accompanied by shelter volunteers as chaperones, from each city’s partner shelter. As a thank you for every visit, Cheezburger is including a delivery of designer cupcakes created by celebrity pastry chef Duff Goldman, star of Ace of Cakes on The Food Network. In addition to the proceeds from each kitten visit, Cheezburger will make an additional donation to all three participating shelters.
This fun and lighthearted event was created to highlight the importance of making pet adoption your first option. There are millions of cats in shelters across the country that may not be a part of the Uber kitten car but are still uber cute and waiting for a home!
