It’s no secret that ASPCA employees are crazy about animals, so why should our own pets be any exception? Every year, we create a beautiful wall calendar for our friends and supporters using our very own furry friends as models, and as you can imagine, the competition is pretty fierce!
Our 2015 calendar is almost complete, but there’s still one very important decision to make: Whose adorable adopted companion should grace this year’s cover?
We’ve narrowed it down to four contenders, and we need YOU to help us choose a winner. Check out the photos that are in the running, read a little about these sweet, adopted animals, and then cast your vote for our 2015 Cover Dog or Cat. The pet whose photo gets the most votes will have his or her face in homes all across America!
As the Challenge began on Sunday, June 1, all 50 shelters worked to host special adoption events throughout the week. From California to Maine, adopters visited local shelters to show their support for the Challenge and went home with furry best friends of all shapes and sizes.
But the excitement is just beginning! Now through the end of August, support your local Challenge shelter as the contestants compete to break their own adoption records and save the most animals over the same period in 2013.
What could be better than finding your life-long match? On the heels of Valentine’s Day, the ASPCA has teamed up with OkCupid and Draftfcb New York to help single pets find their perfect companions! Several of our adorable adoptable cats and dogs now have their very own profiles on the well-known dating site.
Each OkCupid pet profile incorporates our Meet Your Match® program which evaluates the animal’s personality and matches it to an adopter’s preferences.
If you're a member of OkCupid, keep your eyes out for our furry singles looking for love. If not, you can still check out the dating profiles of Karma, Bella, Mona and Florsheim. You’re not going to believe how cute they are!
Enter to Win a Pet Lovers Gift Pack! Already taken? Well, you can still help our adoptables find true love by entering our True Love contest. Visit our contest page to vote for your favorite pet, share their profile on your social networks and you’ll be automatically entered to win a special Pet Lovers Gift Pack!
Thanks for helping us make a love connection for these homeless pets.
Hey there, cute couples! Do you and your pet look smashing together…or maybe even alike? Maybe you're the proud pet parent of a charming pair of kitties? Or perhaps your pooch looks too-cute cozied up with his best friend? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, then this contest is for you!
In honor of Valentine's Day, we’ve teamed up with E! News Correspondent and star of “The Bachelorette” Ali Fedotowsky and her rescue pup, Owen, to launch our Cutest Couples Contest.
“Adopting Owen was a huge decision that I didn’t take lightly. He is a big responsibility, but I couldn’t possibly love him more,” Ali says about her perfect match.
Right now, the ASPCA is on the ground in Kentucky rescuing dozens of dogs from an overrun puppy mill. The dogs were discovered living in filthy conditions with little to no protection from extreme weather. Unfortunately, puppy mills like this are still legal across the country. And that’s just not right!
What can you do to help? Spread the word to all your friends that puppy mills are bad places. You can also enter to win one of our special ASPCA Puppy Mill Advocacy Kits! Simply visit our online form, and tell us why you think puppy mills are bad. You could win the following items:
ASPCA Puppy Mill Message Tote
ASPCA Puppy Mill Message Tee
10 ASPCA Orange Wristbands to share with your friends
