Sweet, sensitive Tootsie has been waiting for a loving home for more than two years. This shy girl needs some extra time to adjust to new friends and faces, but once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll come to you for playtime and chin scratches! Our Adoptions team can provide some great tips on how to help Tootsie acclimate to her new home.
Tootsie prefers a quiet environment where she is the only cat. She does have experience living with human siblings, and would do best with kids aged 12 or older. Adopt Tootsie today!
Tootsie is available for adoption at the ASPCA Adoption Center. If you are interested in adopting Tootsie, please call our Adoptions Department in New York City at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120.
Have you been considering adding a furry friend (or two!) to your family? Now is your chance! This Saturday, August 15, hundreds of shelters nationwide will participate in an exciting “Clear the Shelters” event. Participating organizations will reduce or completely waive their adoption fees to help connect adoptable animals in their care with safe and loving homes.
Our Adoption Center, located in New York City, will take part in the event, waiving all adoption fees for dogs and cats Saturday.
The ASPCA has also provided support for the event in the form of grant funding to a select number of participating organizations across the country. “Clear the Shelters” is sponsored by the NBCUniversal-Owned Television Stations division of NBC Universal and Telemundo.
We look forward to hearing the many happy stories that will result from this exciting event. Please help us Clear the Shelters by finding a participating shelter near you and giving a homeless pet a second chance.
Kiki is a lovable, four-year-old American Bulldog available for adoption. This bundle of energy loves to explore the world around him, and is especially happy to have the freedom and space to run around when he’s outdoors. When he’s out for a walk, Kiki will sometimes pull on the leash, so he needs an adopter who can handle a little bit of weight. As excited as Kiki is to investigate his environment, he doesn’t always enjoy being around other dogs and will likely never be a dog park dog.
When Kiki is at home, he loves to laze around with his toys. He doesn’t always like to share them, but our Behavior specialists can give his adopter some tips on how to encourage communal toy time. Kiki does well with kids and has lived with young human siblings before. He would do best in a home with kids 10 years of age or older. Adopt Kiki today!
Kiki is available for adoption at the ASPCA Adoption Center. If you are interested in adopting Kiki, please call our Adoptions Department in New York City at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120.
This black-and-white beauty is Teodora, a sweet and playful cat who is ready to be an excellent partner-in-crime to a lucky adopter. Teodora loves her friends and has no problem showing lots of affection, but she’s also independent and enjoys her stints of solitude. Teodora can be a little skeptical of new company, but if strangers approach her slowly and extend a hand for her to sniff, she usually warms up pretty quickly. She loves to play with feather toys, and enjoys a good scratch on her head and chin, but isn’t crazy about back or belly rubs.
Teodora would do best in the home of an experienced cat adopter with kids 14 or older. She would prefer to be the only cat in the home. Adopt Teodora today!
Teodora is available for adoption at the ASPCA Adoption Center. If you are interested in adopting Teodora, please call our Adoptions Department in New York City at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120.
