This sounds like a very daurogens person or he will be in the future. Did you know that many serial killers started off by killing animals, like dogs and cats? You must report this to a trusted teacher or guidance counselor, and you can ask to remain anonymous. Or, tell your parents and have them report it. According to Serial Killer Wikipedia, . They are involved in sadistic activity or torturing small animals. This person sounds like he will be daurogens in the future. You might be saving someone in the future by bringing this to the attention of your parents and/or a teacher. Look at the website below:

In 2001, some friend and I founded a horse rescue when we learned of a situation very similar to this story. Although, in the end, the woman was prosecuted and is never allowed to own animals again, it was a hollow victory. She was actually able to sell some of the animals she had abused and profited by it. We have been told that she is now living in Southern California and again owns horses. She was convicted in Arizona, so there is no control over what she does in another state. She was my first experience with someone like this. There is such a strange aspect to cases like this, too. The woman was a nurse. To think that someone dedicated to saving lives could actually be oblivious to the suffering of her own animals is beyond my understanding. But, since then, I've seen it again and again, mostly with animal hoarders. The majority seem to be truly convinced, in their own minds, that they are wonderful pet owners. The stories I could tell.... Anyway, the good thing is that we established a much needed horse rescue that is still going strong, and the laws have changed because of public outcry. We were shocked to learn, however, that in this state, horses along with other livestock, are considered property (like a piece of furniture) and there are almost now laws to protect them. Fortunately, that is not the case with dogs and cats. Keep up the good work. I hope this woman gets what's coming to her, and lots of therapy.

God has placed these innocent creatures in our care. i have never seen a more pure love than i have seen in my own pets. they love completely never wanting more than our love in return. they are so eager to please. these animals are here for us to enjoy, to hold, for companionship. they are so innocent and trusting like a child. how can anyone misuse them? how can anyone with a heart knowing these animals are in shelters waiting to die, without love and companionship, most often being abused, tortured and starved not have the decency to take at least one of these gentle creatures into thier homes? is it to much work? to much responsibility? the love and rewards that are returned to you make it so very worthwhile! shame on people that abuse such innocence! one day you will stand before God and have to explain the harm and suffering that you caused to such sweet little angels. cruelty comes in many forms and one is empathy! knowing full well that there are so many animals waiting to be rescued but not being willing to take them in is just as shamefull!

i believe that this no good scum twit of a so called woman should be sentenced to maximum penalty.thats put lightly. cats and dogs have been scientifically proven to be on the same intellect level as human beings. they cannot drive a car but im sure they could if they had a care to or do human things(some do). in that aspect i am a firm believer that it should be tried the same as if they were human beings. alot of times these dumb witted judges think that its an animal so what and they should also be tried as accomplises i want this woman to be tried for murder 1 for the dead animals plus all the other charges she has coming. shes just lucky shes never ran into me.there would be a fight. in gods eyes shes already gained her spot in hell.

I am writing on a whim after reading this story. In December 2007 my Black Minature Schnauzer George was stolen from my front yard. After two weeks of searching and several calls to our Humane Society I saw him on a petfinder website sponsered by said humane society. They informed me that he had been taken out of state by a rescue organization and taken to Wisconsin There was nothing they could do. Crazy as it sounds I wonder if among rescued dogs (in this story) could there be a said dog? George is now 6 years old Black and very loving. He responds to George,George,George every time Thanks Donna Waldrop

Ever since I have seen the abuse of animals on t.v., I am so disgusted!! I myself, have never seen abuse where I live. I have taking dogs from the pound, no matter what their past. Animals have a right too !! I am very angry that Jennifer got the 10 dogs back!! She is guilty!! Those animals deserve a life, better than Jennifer took care of them!! I have had animals all my life. From little to big. I will never understand how and why people abuse animals!! I have to thank heavens for the ASPCA !! I am happy that these poor animals, get their treatment and put their so call "care givers", where they belong !!!

First..... Lets make her lay in the hay that was completely covered in feces and urine! Then, lets make her lick a dry bowl of dirt and dust if she were hungry or thirsty. Then lets let her skin rot until there are open wounds. Once there are maggots in the wound we can tell her that we will get her help, but never really do it! Cant wait for the lice and fleas to constantly eat at her and make her suffer. Oh, then we should stick her in a cage with decomposing animals and just laugh! Hahaha... Thanks for making half the United States sick to their stomachs. For the other half, we can do the same thing to YOU!!!!!!!

Because the animal abuse laws are so minimal, unfortunately the abuse will continue. Stiffer punishment should be adopted to deter this type or any other of animal abuse. Jennifer is the lowest of the lowest and should never be allowed to have any animals in her possession again. I believe the saying "an eye for an eye" should apply in this circumstance and any other animal abuse cases.

I just had to write because there are so many of you upset that Jennifer was given 10 dogs back. I hope that this will make you all feel a little better. I was at the rescue and I concur with the previous rescuer's description. However, Jennifer's personal dogs were in good shape. They were out in the yard and we played with them. There was absolutely nothing wrong with any of them, which is why they were returned. One of the fastest ways to lose a case is grab all of the healthy animals and then have to explain it to the judge. There was no indication that any of her personal pets would not be cared for. I hope this makes everyone rest a little easier and not worry about them. I realize how hard it is to get the true picture of the situation from the limited coverage. I hope everyone can donate a little something to help care for all the little souls that were remove. I was glad I was able to help in their rescue.

I can't believe she got off the hook she should be convicted and serve some time in prison for what she did to those animals. The jurors must not have cared they are so STUPID and BLIND!! What is wrong with them!! Why would you give the abuser back their animals?? Its like hey you abused your kid ok well you get full custody. Who in their right mind would do that!! It should be the same with animals they are living, breathing beings too!! ANIMALS HAVE RIGHTS TOO!! She should never be able to have any kind of animal in her custody ever again!! Hopefully she will be found guilty once the information from the CSI is given to the court.

I always believed that human race is nothing but a biological mistake. When I read, so many times, about things like that happening in a so called "civilized" world.....it just confirm my belief. The cruelty and stupidity with wich animals are sometimes being treated reminds me how pitiful we are. And to those who witness such behavior without intervening...are as guilty as the one doing the abuse. I can't even raise my voice to any of my 3 dogs or 2 cats without apologizing for doing so. It says that people treat others as they treat animals. Keep your eyes opened!!!

From one that was there. To see this farm from the road you would think what a pretty place, beautiful fencing, a couple well kept nice houses and the lawn mowed.....but you drive up the drive and look at the many, many animal's everywhere, some 80 horses together, then another pasture of some 30 mini's, goats, sheep, llamas and as you look a little closer, it is not such a pretty scene. The sheep and llama's are heavy with hair and have not been shaved and need this badly, the horses and mini's all have nice little pot bellies and not because of the good quality of feed but because of the worm infestation they have. Her hay consisted of the worst possible, moldy round bales and when the animals did get this they gobbled every bit down, as if they had never been fed before. They are running wild and can not be caught and so you would have to assmume there has been no vet work in a long time. Then there are the presently injured animals as the ram with a broken leg, that she said was better, the past injuries of some that should have been put down for the better of the animal and the quality of their lives, but are instead alive and cannot tell us how much pain they are in. When you drive by on the road you do not realize that every inch of every building is full of some 300+ dogs, rabbits, birds and other variety of animals, living in filthy cages and with a wide varity of sickness and diease. I have looked at Jennifer Petkus's website and see how she has glorified herself as a vet tech and wanting to have a rescue/shelter for unwanted animals, but this is not a rescue. She was buying and trying to sell sick animals for profit, she knew it, she would have been better off giving them away free to good homes and doing what was right for the animal rather than worring about the almighty buck. With fewer she may have been able to actually do something good. But it was her undoing, trying to sell the sick animals, taking the contract money from Richland County every month, volunteers to help her for free because she was a "rescue", possibly free food because she was a "rescue". She got in way over her head and then it was too late to turn back, she abused the system and should be punished. She knew it was wrong, she knew the animals were sick and she still went forward and was selling them. So yes she got 10 dogs back but there are many other animals there yet that were not taken and what happens to them. Will Richland County follow thru and make her care for the animals still on the property? How long will they follow up on this? Will Jennifer just start collecting more dogs again? Jennifer if i were you i would move and change my name. How do you sleep at nite, with the pile of dead animals carcasses just thrown up on the hill in a heap, the Nazi's at least dug a hole, and how do you go to work each day and face your co-workers. Just remember those were god's creatures and there will be justice in the end. Kudos to the many individual volunteers and people that have donated not only money, but time to help, and businesses for their support, and for ASPCA and their staff for doing a very professional job.
