ASPCA Pet of the Week: Let’s Go Crazy

Prince

Nothing compares 2 sweet Prince, a rambunctious young thing with a handsome face and an irresistible brindle body. He first arrived at the ASPCA with an irreparable elbow fracture that resulted in the removal of his left leg. But it doesn’t affect his sunny mood—or his irresistible thirst for action-packed fun!

Since this fetching fella can sometimes play rough, he would thrive best in a home without young children or small animals. If you’re interested in adopting this precocious pooch, please call our Animal Placement department at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4120. Or to view other animals looking for homes, visit our Adoption Center online.

****Got Facebook? Won’t you please donate your status to Prince? Just copy and paste the following message onto your profile status to help spread the word that this pooch needs a home!

[Name] is donating my status to Prince http://www.aspca.org/prince, a dog at the ASPCA who needs a new home.

I am the proud owner of a pit bull named "Boo". This breed loves and thrives for attention by us. It kills me that humans can be so cruel to these big hearted dogs.

I am so tired of people who can not care for themselves getting a hold of innocent animals and treating them so inhumanely. Animals are gifts from God and you should love them as if they were you own child..shame on them who are so evil...

My dad rescued a dog, the creature that had the dog would hit the dog when he was drinking so one day my dad went to the guy's house dog naped the dog. My father has been gone for 14 years and I still have the dog, he is about 17 years old right now. He still runs, jumps, plays he is a good boy.

Three-legged dogs rule! We rescued a sweet little fox terrier/chihuahua mix two years ago. He'd been hit by a car and lost his left front leg, but you'd never know it. He can do anything any of his four-legged buddies can, and just has so much heart. We make friends wherever we go. Please, someone give this cute little tripod a home - you won't be sorry!

It breaks my heart to read these stories of abused pets. We have a rescue that is the most loving dog. Things are tough for my partner with lowered salaries due to the economy but we still have to give monthly to these helpless animals. We thank the ASPCA and the WSPCA for the love, care and kindness they show to animals.

the story of the pit bulls made me sick. starve the man who ran the house, tie him up with no water in the cold. maximum punishment forhim and all the others involved. i hope these guys get great loving homes. God's creatures do not deserve this f roma so called human being.

I love receiving these emails/updates, however it makes me sad to think how many animals are abused everyday and that's why even though I'm on a strict budget due to limited income that I make a donation every month to the Aspca - these animal need to be loved. I also thank God for the many wonderful people & vets who work with to save the animals. Thank you.
