Michael Vick to Adopt a New Dog? Not So Fast!

Thursday, July 19, 2012 - 1:30pm

It's true. We don't think Michael Vick would make a good doggie parent. The NFL superstar recently claimed on Piers Morgan Tonight that he's interested in getting a dog. Call us crazy, but we don't think it's a good idea. Far from it.

Despite spending 19 months in prison for running an illegal interstate dog fighting business, Vick hasn't expressed a shred of empathy toward the dogs he brutalized and killed. And rather than talk about the horrors of dog fighting, he has consistently chosen to focus on the consequences of getting caught.

In a nutshell, his actions are self-serving. We've seen little remorse and even less compassion. And let's not forget, he caused unspeakable suffering to hundreds of innocent dogs. Frankly, the ASPCA has serious concerns about Vick's ability to be a responsible pet parent.

Don't you?

This piece O'S--t needs to be sodomized by rabid baboons and then told Go F--k yourself. Shouldn't be allowed to even look at a dog. Sorry Micheal....but time doen't heal all.

Brilliant idea! Afterthey are finished getting the Vick family a dog to help change his "perspective on dogs", perhaps someone can help the "reformed" child molestors jobs in elementary schools so they can see that children are not meant to be raped and tortured. What is wrong with this world? Not for nothing, but if Vick's kid wants a dog, she is going to be an adult someday and then she can have a dog if she wants one. How old is this kid anyway? And why should she have one? Because every family should have a dog therefore portraying them as "novelties" hence the reason why so many are dumped in the shelter. Most young children do not care for their pets anyway, the parents do, so who do you think is going to be taking care of this dog? Get the kid horse back riding lessons or something or let her volunteer at a shelter. Teach her how to respect animals bc I can guarantee that is NOT part of her upbringing obviously.

How about we drench him in blood, throw him in a room with a 25 pit bulls that were unfortunately used for fighting, and if he comes out alive, we hang him from a tree. And if he survives that, we get his kid any dog she wants. GTF outta here.

Would a convicted baby killer be allowed to keep a baby? Would a pedophile be allowed to work around kids again?

Why is a killer and abuser or beautiful animals allowed to have another?

He should instead be forced to apologize and do charity work about the need to treating all animals with love and respect - the world needs this

I couldn't agree more that he should be the LAST person on this planet that ever has a right to own a dog!! I just accepted a job offer in Northern VA. and I am having an extremely hard time finding a place to rent because the dog I rescued from cruel people like Vick, has some pit in her.

I need to have this job but I won't give up my dog. And Vick goes back to football, making more money than before. Disgusting!!!!!

Vick should never be able to own a dog or any animal. As soon as hes able to get a dog whos to say he wont be doing the same thing again (fighting Pits). He is unworthy of the love of a dog. He needs to be punished for the rest of his life, "Im sorry" isnt enough.

Its beyond comprehension why this loser wasn't banned by the court from ever owning any animal ever again. This is ludicrious, he's completely delusional and disassociated from the reality of his crimes. Why does anyone even acknowledge him? He should be shunned by humankind and surveilled by law enforcement. Just like a convicted child molester cannot have any contact with children, he should be disallowed from any interaction with animals.
