It’s Confirmed: Michael Vick Has a New Dog

It’s confirmed: Michael Vick has a new dog. To truly become a model of the type of behavior Vick wishes to teach his children—that animals deserve to be treated with compassion and respect—Vick should take the opportunity to “break the cycle” and “be an instrument of positive change” by expressing remorse about the dogs he brutalized and killed with his own hands. This is something that we’ve never heard him do publically.

Because of this, we have serious concerns about Vick’s ability to be a responsible pet owner. We can only hope that he will set the right example for his children by teaching them to foster humane habits and a lifelong bond with their family pet.

What’s your opinion?

Laurie Anne Roe...

I am so upset that there are comments he did "HIS TIME"......but then again, if people are so cruel and abusive to other people, why should we expect less from those who think animals are "LESS THAN....VOICELESS"....that is truly why it means to me. I have been rescuing homeless animals (ABUSED, ON THE STREETS ON URBAN AREAS IN NEW JERSEY) for almost 20 years. I WILL NEVER NEVER accept those who condone Michael Vick. And let me tell you...we had a book for kids about him, and it was MY CHILDREN who threw it out, ripped and all. He will NEVER be accepted in Atlanta, Philly, and now NY...PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE UGLY> THANK YOU ASPCA for this blog!!!!!!!!!!!!! It gives me hope....I cannot support any animal right organization like the Human Society that stands next to him!! GOD BLESS THESE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES that the ASPCA works hard to advocate for EACH DAY!
