Help Lady Find a Home for the Holidays

White pit bull

Okay, we admit it. Lady comes with certain limitations. She’s a senior. Her limited vision and hearing make it so she can’t live with cats or most other dogs. And well, she needs daily medication for her arthritis. WAIT! Don’t click away quite yet. Even if you can’t personally provide a home for Lady, we could really use your help in spreading the word.

Although Lady has endured a lot of suffering in her life, she adores hugs and kisses, playing tug-of-war, and—it’s true—sitting in your lap! Despite her charming personality, she has been at our shelter for nearly two years. So we’re asking all of our supporters to use social media to help Lady find a home for the holidays. Please share this flyer on your Facebook, Twitter, blog and other social networks. Together we can find her a home!

If you live in a teens-and-up household and are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please call our Adoption Center in New York City at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4900, or come meet this special Lady in person.

Most comments on this posting absolutely break my heart. If they represent the type of people interested in helping, no wonder lady has been at a shelter for so long.
If you sincerely care about animals then spread the word. Browse the online store, donate, volunteer, see how you can help locally. Posting comments that appear to be written by six year olds about taking her in a year, when you are 18, if they can transport her, for for them to find you on Facebook.....not a great use of their time, and a huge waste of mine to have to read it when I'm looking to see if there is a status update or a automatic link to forward her details.
Although nice, commenting on all of your other pets or why you cannot take her....not helpful. Please remember these animals need homes and assistance, not just kind thoughts. This isn't about you personally so why not see what you can do to help instead of simply post information about yourself?
ASPCA, please filter these comments. They make your organization look unprofessional and your ask for help placing her seem like a joke.

Please stop posting comments about how you WISH you could take Lady. I cannot because of this and I cannot because of that. If you cannot then don't bother to comment.
