Dog Abuser Rejects Plea Deal

Tuesday, April 20, 2010 - 1:00pm

On April 15, after reconfirming her not guilty plea to animal torture charges, Tiara Davis rejected a 60-day jail deal offered by the District Attorney. In a heavily publicized case, Davis was caught on video violently kicking and leash-choking her nine-pound Pomeranian, Sparky. The incident occurred on January 11 in the Grant Houses in Morningside Heights, the same public housing project where surveillance video captured an unrelated dog beating only two weeks prior the incident.

It was approximately 2:00 A.M. on January 11, when the NYPD's in-elevator surveillance system captured Davis beating the four-year-old dog. The 31-year-old apparently lost her temper after Sparky urinated on the elevator floor. The video clearly shows Davis punching, kicking and swinging the small dog by his neck until he blacked out. Sparky suffered multiple bruises, possible liver damage and emaciation. He is currently recuperating at the ASPCA Bergh Memorial Hospital.

"There was no justification for this violent act of cruelty," says Stacy Wolf, Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel for the ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement Department "I think the plea deal is generous and should be reconsidered by the defendant, I am not sure a jury would be as lenient."

Davis, who was arrested by ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement Agents the same morning the beating occurred, is due back in court on May 12, where the possibility of trial awaits her.

I think the jury won't be as kind to Tiara Davis as she hopes they will be.

I hope that if it does go to trial, that she gets the maximum penalty allowed. She had a choice to control herself or do what she did. Also, I hope the judge restricts her from being allowed to have any animal EVER again. Prison will be her punishment, but it won't fix her mentally, she'll just do it again with more secrecy. I hope she gets a taste of her own medicine in prison. We'll see how tough she is against someone that has a defense against her. Remember, serial killers always start by abusing animals, and then move to humans. It's a scientifically proven fact.

What happens when the person doing the harming is the head of the ASPCA in our area? It did happen she had dozens of animals living in abandoned homes in filth and disease and tied on 4 foot long chains and they had walked the same path until they work trench in the ground.

I say an eye for an eye

I wish that our society would let us punish the perps in the same violent way that they treated these poor innocent animals. If you don't care or want an animal, don't have one or give it someone who will love it and take care of it. Sick bitch!!!!

put her ass on a leash and kick her around, and beat her to see if she likes it. people like her should be put to death.

This person should go to jail, take anger management and never have a dog, cat or children in her presence.
