September 16, 2014

As the 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge wraps up, we’d like to congratulate the three finalists in the running to win the Community Engagement Award: Clay County Animal Care and Control, Kansas City Pet Project and Lynchburg Humane Society.

The Community Engagement Award will be given to the organization that that did the best job of involving its community in saving more lives during the Challenge. The Award recipient will receive $25,000 in grant funds from the ASPCA. The three finalists were determined by a two-week online voting contest.

Fifty $100K Challenge contestant shelters across the country worked to beat their own adoption records during the months of June, July and August and win prizes in the form of grant funding from the ASPCA. The long-awaited Challenge results will be announced soon—all winners and finalists will be revealed on October 6, so be sure to stay tuned!
