Breaking News: ASPCA Assists in Dog Fighting Bust

The ASPCA is currently on the ground in multiple states assisting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the United States Attorney’s Office in a federal dog fighting raid spanning Texas, Missouri and Kansas. Nearly 100 dogs have been transported to a temporary shelter in an undisclosed location, where they are receiving veterinary care.

A search warrant was executed Saturday night in Kansas, after the FBI raided a contract dog fight in north Texas. Two additional warrants were served Sunday morning for the removal of the dogs in Missouri.

Dog fighting is a felony in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Please help us stop this barbaric form of cruelty and all others. Together we can save animals from lives of abuse.

Group hug to all involved with the rescue of our canine friends.Such barberic actions of the people involved with the fighting of these dogs will certainly be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. God Bless you ASPCA and the FBI...stay safe and many, many THANKS!!!!

I have 2 large adult dogs that went missing from a main highway 2 counties over from Harrision County in November 2012. How can we find out the breed of the dogs involved that weren't pit bulls? Thanks for all you do.

There is a special place for them. I hope these dogs are able to recover. So many have to be put to sleep because they are no longer able to be social. To those that adopted their dogs out, I hope you get good news. I can't imagine adopting out my baby girl only to find out she ended up with subhumans like dogfighters. to the saviors of these wonderful animals, there is a special place in Heaven for you. God Bless.

God bless you all from ASPCA!! For all the love and effort you put to save this beautiful animals. They don't deserve the pain and suffering this creatures put them through! I hope all the people involved in the dog fighting get put in jail and get treated like the garbage they are.

I can't stand to think about what these poor dogs have been put through! If we could take all those that abuse these beautiful animals and abuse each and every single one of them in the same way they continue to abuse these fine dogs, I think we just might see this cruel act come to a halt. How could they do it? I can't find an answer and I have been looking for many years! God please put all these horrific people where they belong - and long before they even think of abuse and dogs. God please find shelter for these beautiful, kind creatures and protect them from these horrific sinners who shall pay by your hand. Amen.

Great work, and great rescue ASPCA - you guys rock and the animals know it!
But the dog rescue is just the first half of the action. Next step - make sure the dogfighter scum are convicted and serious jail time is imposed on them.
