ASPCA.org Launches Web Pages in Spanish

Cat

We are happy to announce that ASPCA.org/espanol is up and running! Twenty of our website’s informative pages have been translated into Spanish, and more are on the way. Most of the newly translated pages cover our New York City-based services, like how to adopt a pet at the ASPCA or where to get your pet spayed or neutered—but many will interest our national readers, too, including how to recognize and report animal cruelty. ¡Bienvenidos!

To Nancy Stowe.....I have had the pleasure of sharing my home with felines for over 30 years, and I will say that they are very intuitive, and very loving. I do believe your Abby does understand that you have illnesses. I have had cats that stayed right by my side when I was sick, and they weren't elderly themselves....they just seemed to know I needed their warmth and companionship. Also, I have noticed that an elderly cat will choose to be beside you as much as possible, especially if he/she knows that he may not have much time left...and they DO know, better than we do. They are showing you their love for you by sticking to your side as much as possible, and you should be honored to have a pet that cares so much to be with you. Enjoy every minute of this attention, because once your beloved pet is gone, you will miss this intensly.

With regard to your recently posted article:"Serial Cat Killer Arrested After 4 Month Spree".........released on $5000.00 bail, after all the charges he was arrested for????? This man is clearly a danger to others....how could bail be set so low??? And what was wrong with his girlfriend's brain???? After the findings of how her first cat died, could there be any doubt that he was the cause of the poor cats demise? Then to live through the deaths of 5 subsiquent pets, all in bizarre circumstances......the cat fell from the kitchen counter, and ended up dead?? I know cats can have bad falls, but ,I'm sorry, this is a little bizarre. Anyone who owns a cat know they all travel the kitchen countertops repeatidly, and they don't fall off and die!! I have no sympathy for trash like him....he deserves to be put away for a long, long time....and he need serious psycological counseling!!!

What are some thoughts on the tasing of a dog by an animal control officer in Walnut Ridge, AR? I thought that this was a very violent aggressive move and that the dog could have been cought in a more humane manner.. i couldn't watch the whole video

My saddness prompts me raise awareness of the dangers of D Con. This item should be banned. I just lost my cat to a poisoned rodent. And the sad part is that they don't die right away. They bleed to death. Please caution people not to use this product. There are many other ways of riding your house of rodents on the market. Not only your own cat but the neighbor cats are in danger. These are loved pets that die needlessly.
