ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge

After months of preparation and anticipation, it’s time for the 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge to begin! During this exciting three-month competition, from June 1 to August 31, 50 shelters nationwide will compete to break their own adoption records and save the most animals over the same period in 2013. Winners and finalists will earn prize grants, ranging from $5,000 to $100,000, so they can save even more animals in the future.

The Challenge contestants will be off to the races starting with the official $100K Challenge Kickoff on Sunday, June 1.  The shelters will host exciting adoption events throughout the week, featuring food, games and plenty of adorable, adoptable animals. Support your local competing shelter by attending a Kickoff event. Who knows? You might even bring home a furry new addition to your family. Please visit our events page to find out what’s happening in your area!

Thank you to the ASPCA and animal loving sponsor, Rachael Ray, for making this wonderful adoption challenge possible.

It's too bad that smaller, well run shelters in need won't have a chance against the larger shelters that probably already have enough money.

Hi Beth! There are several divisons so shelters of all sizes can compete.

That's great! I'm very glad to hear this!

In fact, shelters compete against other shelters of the same size so the smaller agencies have as good of a chance to win as the larger agencies.
