Spike is a super affectionate and social dog waiting for a loving home at the ASPCA Adoption Center. Spike has been in our care for more than two years—since September 2011! This guy loves his friends at the ASPCA, but he’d like to join a forever home as soon as possible.

Spike would be thrilled to go home with an energetic adopter who will spend quality time with him. We feel sure Spike will make an amazing pet!

Spike is available for adoption at the ASPCA Adoption Center. If you are interested in adopting please call our Adoptions department in New York City at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4900. To learn more about Spike, please visit his page.

How is Spike with other dogs, both small and large, male and female?

Spike must be forlorn at having to spend so much time without a family to call his own, although I am sure that the animal care technicians and the volunteers at the ASPCA shelter love him and care for him. Still, I bet he would glow and blossom if he finally found his forever home. I hope some really, really good person comes along to adopt him soon. This beautiful brindle boy deserves nothing but the very best future.

He looks just like my Buster Brown, they could be brothers. Buster is a snuggler and loves to play. I would love to have him but already have two blue tick coon hounds and one brindle pit (see duplicate above).

He's just beautifil! I would love to have him, but I have (3) rescues now. My husband loves all (3) of our guys, but if I even think about another at this time I'll be in divorce court! I can only pray that he finds a loving home. There must be someone out there that he would be perfect for.
