ASPCA Pet of the Week: What Walter Wants!

cat

Looking for a kitty who knows the best things in life are fuzzy? Walter’s your guy—he’s a handsome, green-eyed, sweet-as-pie feline who will stand by your side in good and even better times. A young buck at two years old, he’s chomping at the bit to be a steadfast sidekick for the right two-legged companion.

Since wee Walter tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), he’s hoping to live in a single-cat household or with some other FIV-positive kitties. He would also like to spread the word that cats can and do live long, happy, normal lives with this virus. So give this lil’ fuzz ball a chance! Our Animal Placement department is waiting to hear from you at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4120. Or to check out other animals looking for homes, visit our Adoption Center online.

****Got Facebook? Won’t you please donate your status to Walter today? Just copy and paste the following message onto your profile status to help spread the word that this kitty needs a home!

[Name] is donating my status to Walter http://www.aspca.org/walter, a cat at the ASPCA who needs a new home.

Every animal I see on this site, It just warms my heart to know that that these loving animals are finding loving homes. Thank you ASPCA for helping these loving animals.

Perhaps the ASPCA should have contacted Best Friends and had Oreo transferred there. The ASPCA never seems to have success when it comes to rehabbing the pitties. Whatever excuses the ASPCA publicizes in these cases, the end result is always the same, euthanize. Even if there is any truth to their findings it is difficult to believe them since their past record reeks of a lack of honesty and transparency.

I will never contribute to ASPCA again, I am a member and I'm disgusted that you felt you had to put OREO down, never again will the ASPCA see a penny from me, this is disgraceful and unforgivable. SHAME ON THE ASPCA.

ASPCA Hello, my name is Sierra Grounds. We are doing a research project for my English class. The end product will be a brochure that I will create that may be displayed in our counseling office. I need the name and number of a contact person that I can maybe put on my brochure. These are the questions I might include, if you wouldn’t mind taking a look and answering them. Thank you for your time. 1. What would it take for me to take part in helping save animals? 2. Who were the first to start the ASPCA organization? 3. What all animals do you save? 4. What are the penalties for committing animal cruelty? 5. Where was the first ASPCA started? 6. What does it take to become a officer like one of you? Sincerely, Sierra Grounds
