As the 2013 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge comes to a close, we are excited to announce the three finalists in the running to win the Community Engagement Award: Canyon County Animal Shelter, Humane Society of South Mississippi and Humane Society for Greater Savannah.

The Community Engagement Award, which will be granted to the organization that that did the best job of involving its community in saving more lives during the Challenge, will receive $25,000 in grant funds from the ASPCA. The three finalists were determined by a two-week online voting contest.

Forty-nine $100K Challenge contestant shelters across the country worked to save more animals during the months of June, July and August, with $600,000 total in ASPCA grant funds on the line. The long-awaited Challenge results will be announced soon—all winners will be revealed on September 30, so be sure to stay tuned!
